Great price for performance point (5/5) | Jan 1, 2016 | Jerry Latham | Oklahoma City OK US |
Over a short period of time I tested 17 different loads from the likes of Federal, Winchester, CCI, RWS, Remington, Fiocci and Aguila. I measured speed at the muzzle using a MagnetoSpeed V3 and of course looked at the results on target. I shot all through A CZ-455 with a Nikon ProStaff scope. While there were a couple of boxes that gave slightly better 'on-target' groups; those were priced noticeably higher per round. For the record, those were RWS match rounds and Fiocci Official 300. But the RWS Rifle Match rounds were twice the cost of the Aguila Rifle Match. The Aguila Rifle Match rounds were very consistent in muzzle velocity (average being 1049 fps plus/minus 11.4 fps out of the 20.5 inch barrel with a 1:16 twist). I ended up buying 4 bricks of these at a cost 11 cents each with shipping. For practice and friendly competition with results you can smile at, these are hard to beat: With rifle zeroed at 50 yards shooting at an official 100 yard NRA small bore target, I can consistently get 10-shot groups all in the 10 ring with most within the X-ring. At 100 yards, using the BCD scope: 7 out of 10 in the 10-ring, 6 of those 7 in the X-ring, and 3 about 1/4" outside of the 10-ring in the 9 ring. |

Good Ammo (5/5) | Sep 1, 2013 | Joe Gilbert | Chunky Mi US |
I shoot this bulk 22 lr ammo in my 597 VTR Tactical rifle at 50 yards and at 100 yards. Can shoot the same hole all day long at 50 yards. A 100 yards I get grouping of .5". I have also shot this match in my 10/22 TALO, I have never had a misfire with this ammo. Good ammo for the price! |

This bulk 22LR ammo shot from my S&W 15/22 AR was only slightly better than the Federal target grade performance box. I was expecting more from the Aguia match rifle ammo.

100 yd Competition (5/5) | Sep 11, 2009 | Joe Gilbert | Meridian MS US |
I have a Ruger 10/22 TALO Exclusive that I shoot in 50 yd. and 100yd. competition. I have shot all of the bulk 22LR ammo on the market and the Golden Eagle Match has won more competitions for me than any of the others. GREAT AMMO!!

Aguila Golden Eagle Match Rifle (5/5) | Jun 15, 2009 | Derek Shapiro | Athens Ge US |
This bulk 22LR ammo has proven to be the most accurate ammunition in both my heavy barreled Savage BV and in my 10/22. The 10/22 still uses the factory barrel, and has only been smithed, but no replacement parts, and will turn in 1/2" 5 shot groups at 50 yards. The Savage is bone stock exluding slight trigger group polishing, and will easily shoot under .5" at 100 yards all day long, with my best 5 shot group at .35". Fliers are almost non-existant, and it has that sweet eley-primed smell. Shoots pretty clean for eley-primed ammo, and is lubed. This ammunition FAR outperforms everything else I've tried, including CCI Green Tag, Winchester Supreme (discontinued I believe), and Wolf Target. Your gun may disagree with these results, but all my .22's love it, even my Mark III Ruger Slabside stainless. I wonder if the Aguila Match Pistol ammo would be even better in it?

50 ft indoor shooting (5/5) | Jan 28, 2009 | William S. Bednarowski, TSgt | Schenectady NY US |
I've been shooting this bulk 22lr ammo out of an old H&R Model 12 and a S&W 52B, both with one-ragged-hole results. It's 1/5th the price of 10X with that same wonderful smell!

Aguila Match Rifle (5/5) | Jan 9, 2008 | Blase Kissinger | Somerville Al US |
Routinely use this bulk 22lr ammo after testing over 20 brands of target ammo in a CZ 452 Varmint and Ruger 10/22. In the factory CZ, 5-shot groups are consistently less than 1 1/4" at 100 yds. Groups are better than with most of the high priced match ammo I have tried. In this rifle, it outperformed all CCI, Wolf,Rem,Win,Fiocci, and most everything Eley makes. Fed 711B was a little more accurate, but costs more too. I would choose Lapua Master for competition which does less than 1", but it is not economical enough for routine shooting.Functions better in 10/22 than most high velocity stuff tried. I have found this to be my ammo of choice for target practice. Highly recommended, and well worth trying. Great value with the most bang for the buck!

Very Satisfied (5/5) | May 21, 2007 | brian moore | Albuquerque nm US |
I have a ruger custom 10/22 that I recently built. I have tested about 14 brands of target ammo, including Lapua, Eley, Wolf, etc. Some of the ammo tested cost 5 times as much as the Aguila. The Aguila bulk 22LR ammo consistently out- performs the other brands. It will shoot .4 inch groups at 50 yrds all day, if I keep the barrel clean.

Golden Eagle match rifle (5/5) | Nov 13, 2006 | Steve Smith | Athens GA US |
I have been extremely impressed with this bulk 22LR ammo when shooting my CZ 452 Lux. It performs on par with more expensive ammo such as WOlf ME and Fiocchi Super Match 320. With any of these I can shoot 10 shot groups at 50 yards no larger than a dime but with the Aguila less than half the price of Wolf and a third the price of Fiocchi, it's a no brainer for me. Very consistent ammo that always seems to do its part when I can do mine.

Aguila Match Rifle (4/5) | Mar 27, 2006 | Dave Turney | Edmond OK US |
I tested this ammo against: CCI Pistol Match; Remington Club Extra; Eley Match EPS; CCI Green Tag; Fiocchi Super Match and Sellier &Bellot Club Match in my Winchester model 52B. Although Remington Club Extra and CCI Pistol Match shot as well, the only ammo to produce a tighter group was the Eley Match EPS. Given the price difference, I'll be shooting a lot of Aguila Match Rifle ammo. |
